Fort Lauderdale, FL, July 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Lawrence (Larry) Clark, principal of Sustainable Performance Solutions LLC (SPS), has been certified by the Green Building Initiative (GBI) as a Guiding Principles Compliance Professional. Clark completed training and passed a final exam in order to become qualified to assist federal facilities in meeting the requirements of the Energy Efficiency Guiding Principles mandated by Executive Order (EO) 13514. Those requirements include that at least 15 percent of existing federal buildings and leases comply with the EO by 2015, and that annual progress be made toward 100 percent conformance of all federal buildings, with a goal of 100% of all new federal buildings achieving zero-net-energy by 2030. The approximately 500,000 federally-owned and leased buildings make the U.S. Government the largest consumer of energy in the country. Clark also holds certification from the GBI as a Green Globes Professional and is a Certified Energy Auditor, a Qualified Commissioning Process Provider, a LEED Accredited Professional (O&M), and a Florida Water Star Certifier.
