The Gateway Family YMCA and United Water Partner for the Arts Community in Rahway
United Water presents donation to The Gateway Family YMCA – Rahway Branch
Woodbridge, NJ, August 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- On Friday, July 18, John Ludington, Mary Gustofson, and Ronald Wund of United Water presented a check to Krystal R. Canady, CEO, Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO, and Gerry Gessie, Branch Executive Director in support of The Gateway Family YMCA – Rahway Branch for the naming rights to one of the newly constructed Artist’s Lofts within the facility. United Water has been a committed partner to the Rahway Branch for many years, supporting The Gateway Family YMCA’s programs, services and Annual Campaign. “We are grateful to United Water for their dedication to the community of Rahway and are excited to announce the naming of the Artist Loft,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO, The Gateway Family YMCA.
Naming opportunities provide donors the opportunity to create a presence within the Rahway Branch. The $3.2 million, 16,256 square foot renovation provides countless opportunities for The Gateway Family YMCA to further the Y’s mission and address the unique needs of the community. Included in the renovation is the opportunity to return the 3 floors of the Rahway Branch that sustained significant fire damage to the community, while adding a new elevator and handicap accessibility. In addition to an extensively renovated YMCA facility, the Rahway Branch will offer Artist’s Lofts, expanding the Arts presence in the Rahway community. As part of the large-scale construction project, naming opportunities exist for members, individuals and businesses in the community.
The Y is more than a gym. It’s a cause. From Exercise to Education, from Health to Housing, from Volleyball to Volunteerism, from Preschool to Preventive Health, the Y doesn’t just strengthen bodies– it strengthens people, families and communities. “The renovation of the Rahway Branch allows us to serve even more members of the community, expanding our reach within the area and providing additional programs and services,” stated Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO.
