NW Girls Make Noise: Dirty Martini, Debra Arlyn and Jasmine Ash to Appear at the Doug Fir Lounge

Portland, OR, October 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Northwest Noise is proud to present nationally known all-female rock/folk group Dirty Martini in concert on December 13th at 9pm. Joining the headlining Dirty Martini this evening are two, local female singer/songwriters: Debra Arlyn and Jasmine Ash. The concert will be held at the Doug Fir Lounge (830 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214) and tickets are $12 and available at TicketsWest.com or at Doug Fir’s box office.

Dirty Martini is a blissful union of three of the Pacific Northwest’s finest singer songwriters Lara Michell, Stephanie Schneiderman, and McKinley. They each had successful solo careers before forming Dirty Martini in 2004 (one toured with David Crosby as his opening act, one won a spot on the Lillith Fair tour, and one was in Carmina Pirhana, a band that composed music for the Oregon Ballet). The release of the band’s self-titled album in 2005 brought their gorgeous harmonies, simple melodies and rock/folk energies to a receptive audience in the Pacific Northwest. The release of Dirty Martini’s follow-up album, Tea and Revenge, taps deeper into their collective Americana roots and has helped to bring national media attention to the band.

Piano playing pop star in the marking, Debra Aryln, is one of a kind. Winner of the 2006 Singer/Songwriter Award, Aryln reveals her heart and soul to her audience. The honesty in her lyrics and the passion in her voice comforts and lifts the human spirit. Her charming manner on and off stage is both refreshing and invigorating.

Talented singer/songwriter, Jasmine Ash, brings herself to the stage, ready to reveal personal insights through her guitar and angelic voice. Jasmine’s third album, Shine, was released in the Summer of ’07 to local acclaim and enthusiasm; landing one of her songs on MTV’s The Hills.
