Local Real Estate Company Helps Hoosiers Beat the Heat
EasyStreet Realty, Inc. Donates Box Fans to Local Nonprofit to Help Hoosiers Without Air Conditioning
Indianapolis, IN, August 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- EasyStreet Realty, Inc. (www.easystreetrealty.com), a full service residential real estate brokerage, announced its internal program to help fellow Hoosiers beat the heat this summer. Monetary donations are used to purchase box fans that are donated to Community Action of Greater Indianapolis, Inc. (CAGI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the reduction and ultimate elimination of poverty among the clients in its service area. CAGI then distributes the donated fans to Hoosiers without air conditioning in their homes or to those that cannot afford to operate their air conditioners.
As temperatures continue to rise in Indianapolis, those young and old are faced with the concern of finding a place to stay cool. Kyle Gillette, an associate broker at EasyStreet Realty, saw a news story about an initiative to assist some local residents to keep cool in their homes and felt inspired to help his fellow Hoosiers in need. Gillette proposed the company’s fan donation program to the partners at EasyStreet Realty.
“We operate as a socially responsible organization and the notion of corporate citizenship is deeply embedded in the culture at EasyStreet,” said Steve Robbins, founding partner at EasyStreet Realty. “We were fully on board with Kyle’s plan to help and have been impressed with our team’s enthusiasm to get involved to offer help to members of the community.”
To date, EasyStreet has donated 30 fans to CAGI and continues to raise funds for additional fan purchases.
Gillette stated, “So many challenges can be met by just taking action and I am so proud of my fellow EasyStreet associates for pitching in! We have all been so blessed and there are times you just feel compelled to pay it forward.”
