Paula J. Alderson is President and CEO of Hospice by the Sea, Inc. She has also served in the capacity of Chief Strategic Officer and is a Board Member of Hospice by the Sea Foundation, Inc. Ms. Alderson has an extensive background in the healthcare delivery system and has held leadership positions dealing with all healthcare product lines. Previously, Ms. Alderson was president of a Fortune 500 Company New York HMO. She was Chief Operating Officer of a complementary healthcare company, Corporate Head of national initiatives, Vice President of health services and Senior Vice President of medical operations. Ms. Alderson has held academic positions at several universities and affiliated hospitals. She won national acclaim for the design and implementation of an Alzheimer’s program presented at the National Gerontology Association conference. Ms. Alderson began her professional career a nurse, having earned a BSN degree from Marquette University. She attended the University of Toledo, where she earned a M.Ed. degree. She is a Certified Advanced Hospice Administrator (AHACP). Ms. Alderson has been the recipient of several local and national leadership awards.
