The American Venous Forum (AVF) will host the Vein Forum: Comprehensive Venous Management for the Practicing Clinician on September 5-6, 2014 in Boston, MA. The American College of Surgeons designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM; 14 credits meet the requirements for Self- Assessment. The AVF will also host the Fall 2014 Fellows Course in Venous Disease on December 5-7, 2014 in Houston, TX. Grants are available to cover attendees' expenses.

AVF will host the Vein Forum: Comprehensive Venous Management for the Practicing Clinician on September 5-6, 2014 in Boston, MA. Registration is still open for interested clinicians.
The faculty will have a variety of simple to complex cases that will be presented to small groups, with the goals of understanding the venous problem, the diagnostic modalities, the treatment options, the end results, and to be able to apply the knowledge in similar scenarios encountered in daily clinical practice. Case-based workshop topics include Compression and Wound Care; Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS); IVC Filters; Pharmacomechanical Thrombolysis / Iliofemoral DVT; Endovenous Laser Ablations: Thermal Tumescent, Non Thermal, Non Tumescent; Sclerotherapy; and, Ultrasound. The course will also include live ultrasound imaging of patients with a variety of venous disorders.
ACS designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Of the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM, a maximum of 14 credits meet the requirements for Self- Assessment. The meeting is structured for the practicing venous specialist. The course will be limited to 50 attendees to optimize course interaction. The goal of the Fellows Course is to educate and update fellows regarding the latest theories and developments in the clinical practice of vein disease management. Fellows will gain an overall understanding of vein disease to allow them to successfully incorporate venous knowledge, skills and techniques into their overall practice as they make the transition from training to the clinical practice.
