Midwest Engineering Systems Exhibiting at IMTS with ABB Robotics
Midwest Engineering Systems, an ABB Robotics Value Provider, will be featured in the ABB Robotics booth during IMTS, displaying random robotic bin picking technology.
Pewaukee, WI, August 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Midwest Engineering Systems Inc., an innovative provider of premier custom machines and integrated systems will be featured in the ABB Robotics exhibit at IMTS 2014 (International Manufacturing Technology Show).
IMTS 2014 is a premier manufacturing technology show in North America, taking place at McCormick Place complex in Chicago, IL on September 8-13, 2014. 1,900 exhibiting companies with occupy 1.2 Million square feet of exhibit space. Exhibiting companies are in industries such as: metal cutting, tooling & work holding systems, metal forming, & industrial automation. Manufacturing industry professionals from all over the world attend IMTS to see more than 15,000 new machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, robotic systems and processes that can improve their efficiency.
Midwest Engineering Systems, an ABB Robotics Value Provider, will be featured in the ABB Robotics booth and display new industrial robot technology. Midwest Engineering Systems has integrated a random robotic bin-picking cell to be on display during the expo. This demonstration will highlight robotic picking using a SICK 3D vision system that tracks, replicates, and maps the surrounding bin-picking environment.
Midwest Engineering System’s integrated bin picking systems are capable of:
Distinguishing the desired part from ‘rejected’ parts with incorrect features
Deep bin picking up to 4’
Identifying parts and their orientation regardless of surface finish, shine, rust, or color
Robotic mechanical gripper and magnetic end effector configurations
3D vision camera integration
