Diane Sillan Isaacs joins Advisory Board of The League of Adventurous Women, a new national women's adventure organization.
Washington, DC, August 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The League of Adventurous Women ® announced today that producer, creative director and adventurer Diane Sillan Isaacs has joined its Advisory Board. Sillan Isaacs, a world-class triathlete whose mantra is “show up in life,” is expected to bring a new layer of perspective to a diverse and dynamic Board.
“Diane has a wealth of experience and has done things most people only dream of doing,” said League President Michaelle Scanlon. “She has an adventurous spirit, a creative heart, and a caring soul – we are very excited to have her on our Advisory Board.”
Sillan Isaacs is the fifth member of The League’s Advisory Board. She joins Stacy Alison, the first American woman to summit Mt. Everest; biking industry leader, Jenn Dice; Jennifer Olson, editor-in-chief of Women’s Adventure magazine, and hiker/author Michelle Pugh.
“The League is striving to become a national resource for women’s adventure groups and individuals,” added Scanlon. “We’re offering all women a way to find organizations in their own communities, to expand their horizons, make new friends and just have fun. Diane is joining a very strong Advisory Board whose guidance is helping us reach that goal.”
The League of Adventurous Women is a new non-profit organization and the first of it’s kind. Visitors to The League’s free website will find national and regional adventure organizations focusing on everything from archery to biking to fishing to sailing, skydiving and even bucket-list groups. The site also offers adventure ideas, information on launching a new group, upcoming opportunities, weekly stories and more. The League is a one-stop shop for women of any age who want to break from their routines, leave their comfort zones and pursue their dreams.
