"Travelife" Gold Medal for Creta Maris Beach Resort & Environmental Actions

Hersonissos, Crete, Greece, August 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Travelife is an international sustainability certification scheme. It helps hotels around the world improve their environmental, social and economic impacts cost-effectively. In order to receive the gold Travelife award a hotel should be in strict compliance with all the criteria of sustainability, encouraging all to participate in similar environmental effects.

To celebrate the gold award and in order to participate actively in the effort to protect the environment, the Creta Maris Green Team – an environmental needs group of Creta Maris Beach Resort performed a cleaning action of the surrounding area starting from the entrance of the hotel and heading towards the main road "Hersonissos -Heraklion." It is remarkable that the voluntary participation of employees and customers was great and quite encouraging for the continuation of the effort to pass a message of environmental awareness to all citizens and contribute greatly to maintaining a clean environment, which is a brilliant legacy for future generations.
