The Kipsen Company Relocates from Los Angeles to Thousand Oaks
The Kipsen Company moves away from Los Angeles to Thousand Oaks. The company hopes to provide a better working environment for its employees and attract a wider range of human capital. The new offices will be 199 W. Hillcrest in Thousand Oaks.
Thousand Oaks, CA, August 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- After starting up in Los Angeles for tax incentives, The Kipsen Company has decided to relocate its headquarters to Thousand Oaks.
The company began its operation in 2012, locating within an Economic Development Zone in Los Angeles, but have since decided that the incentives were not easy to apply for.
"Even when we did apply for incentives, they wouldn't get processed," said Jon Desoto, Operations Manager at Kipsen, "It was very time consuming, and so we stopped applying after the first year."
The company will keep the office open until its lease expires in 2015, the company will continue to operate in the city and says that four employees will remain in its Los Angeles location, while its sales, product management and executive teams will move in to the Thousand Oaks office.
The company states that they had significant issues with applying for economic benefits that were offered by the city for employee, utility and other discounts and reimbursements. The company also said that crime in the downtown area was also a major issue.
"This move is significant for us," says Manny Hernandez, President at The Kipsen Company, "We look forward to our new home in Thousand Oaks, where we will acquire new talent and grow in to a dominate technology firm."
The company is looking to establish a new research facility in Thousand Oaks as well in 2015, to explore short-range and long range wireless technologies.
The Kipsen Company is primarily a consulting firm, proving product development services for wireless and consumer electronics. The company has Fortune 500 clients, and has ownership in multiple companies including majority interest in HundredOne Media Group and Whitelabel Products. The company has launched more than $2B in product sales for its clients since it opened in 2012.
