Entrepreneurial Couple to Create Second Shared Hybrid Space
St. Louis' Hilliker Corporation represents husband and wife team with newest endeavor.
St. Louis, MO, August 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Husband and wife Pat and Carol Schuchard have big plans to combine corporate, event space, and retail all under one roof.
Pat, a retired Washington University professor, and his wife Carol are both artists who recently purchased a 12,000-square-foot building at 7150 Manchester Rd. for $370,000. The 87-year-old property was previously a call center and, prior to that, a Lion’s Club dance hall, and features a 150-car parking lot on the land’s two acres. The building will be divided into 6,000-square-feet for offices and conference area, 3,500 for event space, and 2,500 for retail opportunities. The space will open in Jan., 2015 after approximately $250,000 worth of renovations are made to open up the space and update lighting and restrooms.
Hilliker Corporation agent Peter Pfeifer represented both the seller, 1688 LLC and the buyer, Pat and Carol Schuchard.
Pfeifer also helped the Schuchards buy the historic St. Louis Artist’s Guild building at 812 Union in Jan., 2014 for $170,000. This 106-year-old 11,000-square-foot space, called the Boo Cat Club, will open in Oct. as another hybrid property featuring a theater, gallery and event space for weddings and corporate events. Renovations totaled under $1 million and included total interior restoration plus new systems for electric, heating, cooling and plumbing. A state-of-the-art sound system and theatre stage lighting were also added.
Hilliker Corporation, which targets regional and national entrepreneurs, is St. Louis’ largest locally owned independent commercial real estate company located at 1401 S. Brentwood Blvd. The firm’s agents, who each average over 15 years of experience, have completed more than 10,000 sales and leases for industrial, office, retail and institutional clients since its inception in 1985.
