Dr. Tracy Li Cheung Will Join the Practice This Month
New York, NY, August 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Concerned Dental Care of Westchester, PC, which is located at 35 E Grassy Sprain Road, is excited about the new addition to their dental team. Dr. Tracy Li Cheung will be joining the practice this month as their in-house orthodontist. Dr. Cheung brings a wealth of experience and has been honored numerous times for her dental expertise.
Dr. Cheung’s has a unique professional background, which began with her career as a concert pianist. During her childhood and teens she was an honor student at Juilliard’s Pre-College Division, in which she had the opportunity to play at major venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Dr. Cheung’s musical brilliance led her to study at Stanford University, which is where she discovered her passion for sciences. After much thought, she concluded that dentistry would be the perfect combination of art and science, in which she began studies at the University of California for her doctorate in dental surgery. She then went on to complete her certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Cheung’s has a history of excellence within her diverse areas of study. She was the recipient of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Academic Achievement Award, which is presented to the student with the highest academic standing in a graduating class. Dr. Cheung is currently an Affiliate Member of the prestigious Edward H. Angle Society, as well as affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and the International Association for Dental Research.
Despite her numerous accolades, Dr. Cheung remains humble and dedicated to her passion in dentistry. “The same precision, critical analysis and artistry required to perform a Chopin Ballade are also integral for executing an orthodontic treatment plan that aims to create harmony between the dentition and the facial hard and soft tissues,” comments Dr. Cheung.
