CardioFlex Therapy Supports Team Challenge and the Fight to Beat Crohn’s Disease
Team Challenge & Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America host different events to fund the fight for a cure for Crohn's Disease & Colitis.
Davie, FL, August 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- CardioFlex Therapy wants to bring attention to a disease most people do not know about, Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is an illness that affects different parts of someone’s intestines and digestive system causing pain, digestive issues and even requiring surgery for some patients. Team Challenge is a non-profit organization associated with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America to raise awareness and funds to help with research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for Crohn’s disease. Team Challenge for Crohn’s & Colitis provides someone the opportunity not only with personalized fitness training for the events but also a dedicated staff that will help teams coordinate events and fundraising while providing information on proper nutrition, hydration and even injury prevention. The participants will receive training, support, lodging and airfare to the event and help on dependent on the fundraising goals.
Teams can participate in different endurance events such as half marathons, triathlons and cycling events while raising funds for Crohn’s disease and colitis research and patient services. Many of the participants like Julie Kennedy, a young woman who herself has been battling Crohn’s disease for years, are highly motivated to raise funds and find a cure for this disease that affects more than half a million people in the U.S. Most people with the disease can live normal lives but can still experience flare ups and symptoms of the disease on a regular basis.
