Daybreak Raises Money for Alzheimer's Association
DayBreak Adult Care Services, the leading provider of in-home senior care, has launched a fundraiser to support research efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association. The “Paint the Promenade Purple” Pub Crawl will be held on September 4, 2014 (5p-8p) in Bluffton Promenade (Old Town). In partnership with Hospice Care of America, DayBreak will donate all proceeds to the SC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The “Paint the Promenade Purple” Pub Crawl will be held on September 4, 2014 (5p-8p) in Bluffton Promenade (Old Town). In partnership with Hospice Care of America, DayBreak will donate all proceeds to the SC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
DayBreak is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its newest location in Hilton Head and creates a unique event to commemorate the milestone. “We wanted to launch a meaningful event to celebrate our anniversary and give back to the community at the same time,” said Lynda Lee, owner of DayBreak of the Lowcountry. “We provide comprehensive solutions to enhanced elder care, and we collaborate with remarkable organizations such as Elder Law Office of Brian T. Treacy, Hospice Care of America, and Alzheimer’s Association. We hope this will be the first of many fundraisers in Beaufort County for this devastating disease.”
The event will be held at 6 venues, in 3 hours, with over 20 local sponsors. Check-in begins at 4:00pm, and the impressive teamwork of businesses and volunteers will produce games, prizes, t-shirts, $3 purple drinks, and more. “The Alzheimer’s Association is thankful to these organizations for working to raise critical funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research,” said Ashton Houghton, VP of Development for Alzheimer’s Association, SC Chapter.
