This special event will take place at the beautiful Frost Art Museum, conveniently located on the campus of Florida International University.

The announcement of the 12 honorees for the 2014 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series, was officially made on Wednesday August 6, 2014. The 2014 list of honorees highlights the best of the Tri-County area of Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Miami, Florida. This special event will take place at the beautiful Frost Art Museum, conveniently located on the campus of Florida International University.
The annual recognition identifies professionals and civic minded individuals of Caribbean heritage, living in the Tri-County area, who have contributed to the multicultural community. This year's honorees include: Miami Airport Project Manager and Architect Mr. Tyrone Browne, Senior Vice President of Research for Telemundo Network Millie Carrasquillo, President of the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce Eric Knowles, Official DJ of the Miami Heat Ian Grocher (DJ Irie), Superintendent of Broward Public Schools Robert Runcie, Senior Vice President of Seaboard Marine Jose Perez-Jones, Circle House Studios: Abebe Lewis, Journalist and WEDR (99Jamz) Personality Peter Bailey. Young Generation Pioneer of the Year: Jo Mersa Marley; Musician and grandson of the late Bob Marley; Humanitarian of the Year: Angel Aloma Executive Director of Food for the Poor, and our Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees Ms. Gloria Estefan and Mr. Emilio Estefan, Musicians, Entrepreneurs, Hispanic and International legends.
The 2014 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series include a series of networking Award events, in the prime markets of Atlanta, Georgia, New York City and Miami, Florida, throughout the year. Infiniti Global Media dba Caribbean Media Network, in conjunction with its affiliates, will host this memorable networking celebration on Friday, October 10, 2014, 6:00pm-9:00pm, at the exclusive Frost Art Museum, in the heart of Miami Dade County.
