OT9 Design Creates State-of-the-Art Space for New Approach Hair Salon and Spa
Florida architecture firm designs modern space for growing salon.
St. Petersburg, FL, August 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- OT9 Design, a Florida-based architecture firm, is pleased to announce the completion of a new space for New Approach Hair Salon and Spa, located in Belleair Bluffs. The newly renovated 1,500 square foot salon boasts nine hair stations, three pedicure stations, two manicure stations and three therapy rooms.
OT9 designed and renovated the salon’s new space, located in a 1950’s-era strip mall. The antiquated existing structure combined with the unique needs of the hair salon presented some challenges. The accessibility features of the space were designed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance standards and due to the salon’s chemical use, the air handlers were upgraded to ensure proper ventilation.
“Our new salon features a sleek design, with an ambiance that welcomes and refreshes our clients,” said salon owner Karen Luff. “OT9 created a space that is not only beautiful, but functional.”
New Approach was recently voted ‘best salon’ by the Clearwater Gazette. As the salon moves forward with expansion plans, the new design of the brand will be prevalent in each new location.
“We need to understand the goals of the client before we can start drawing,” said Williams. “It’s important that we have a clear picture of who they are, what they do, how they do it, and where they want to go so we can create a space that will work for them long term.”
