Social Media Military - What’s New on the Agenda for 2015?
SMi are delighted to announce that a new brochure has been released for its 5th annual conference in the sell-out series, Social Media within the Defence & Military Sector.
Naples, FL, June 26, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The only military focused social media event in the market returns to London on 19-20 November, to gather a global audience of leading militaries and defence institutions shaping the social media landscape. With a bigger venue due to year on year growth in attendees, additional highlights new for 2015 include:
1. Greater Interaction
The conference will be more interactive then previous years with the introduction of a roundtable break out session. Discussions on the impact of social media to military operations, will be led by a respected panel of industry experts to encourage greater engagement amongst attendees.
2. New Nations
New nations on board the agenda include, Canada, Italy and the Netherlands.
3. Police Perspective
With recent developments in open source intelligence, a spotlight session on law enforcement has been added onto the programme. This will feature an address from the Head of Intelligence for the National Counter Terrorism Functions Command at the Metropolitan Police; plus a presentation from the National Police Chiefs Council from the Home Office College of Policing, and will be followed by a topical panel debate discussing the impact of social media on civil liberties.
4. Timely Case Studies
Compelling case studies include a personal account of Detective Superintendent Robert Jeffrey's actions at the scene of the Nairobi Westgate terror attack; strategic guidance on military recruitment from the Head of Careers at the RAF; and a look into how the Ukraine crisis changed the face of social media presented by Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).
5: Two New Workshops
Both interactive workshops will take place at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum on 18th November 2015.
