Shodeen Homes Brings Successful Mill Creek Home Designs to Blackberry Creek in Elburn, Illinois
Elburn, IL, August 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Shodeen Homes recently announced that it is building semi-custom homes at Blackberry Creek in Elburn. The builder is offering home designs that they have had success with building at nearby Mill Creek, located less than 10 minutes east of Blackberry Creek.
Blackberry Creek is an established community that spans 625 acres and is located east of Route 47, between Keslinger and Hughes Roads. The community features over 200 acres of open space with walking and bike trails meandering through the community among nine ponds and many wetland areas.
Shodeen Homes is offering seven floor plans including a ranch and six two-story semi-custom home designs, each available with three exterior elevations enabling over 21 different possibilities with the many exterior color and material choices available. Homes sizes start from 2,215 square feet for three bedrooms and two baths up to 3,356 square feet for four bedrooms and three and one-half baths. Patzelt also added that Shodeen Homes will later proceed with building homes and developing Elburn Station, located across Keslinger Road abutting the Metra Commuter Rail Station, north of Blackberry Creek sometime in 2015.
Blackberry Creek homeowners will appreciate the new Anderson Road overpass located on former Shodeen land which is under construction and expected to be completed in the summer of 2015. This overpass will provide a bridge for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles over railroad tracks that divided the village. The Anderson Road Bridge will connect Route 38 on the north and Keslinger Road on the south.
“The Blackberry Creek neighborhood is already established and we are pleased to be building here,” said Nathan Amidon, director of sales for Shodeen Homes. “Homeowners will also appreciate the 75’ - 85’ homesite frontages on the sites we have at Blackberry Creek.”
Framed and insulated full basements, granite countertops, stainless steel Energy Star appliances, custom cabinetry, ceramic tile in kitchens, bathrooms and foyers, oak rails, brushed nickel door hardware, a fireplace in the family room, 92% efficient furnace, and energy efficient water heater are just some of the standard features built into all Blackberry Creek homes.
Blackberry Creek Elementary school is a plus with a walk-to location within the community. Harter Middle School and Kaneland High School are the other schools within the highly-regarded Kaneland 312 School District for school age children to attend from Blackberry Creek.
