Gourmet retail franchisor, The Spice & Tea Exchange®, is opening up its 37th location in Fort Collins, Colorado. Located in Front Range Village, Northern Colorado’s largest retail shopping center, The Spice & Tea Exchange will be opening its doors on September 5, 2014.
Fort Collins, CO, August 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Residents and visitors are invited to “Come In and Smell the Spices®” at The Spice & Tea Exchange®; Fort Collins newest retail experience. The Spice & Tea Exchange® is a unique gourmet retailer, specializing in fine spices, custom blends, exotic teas, salts, naturally-flavored sugars, and more.
The Spice & Tea Exchange® is now located in Front Range Village, Northern Colorado’s largest retail shopping center. The store’s interior is reminiscent of an 18th Century Trading Post with wood floors and beams, aged brickwork and rustic product displays. Guests are encouraged to smell the spices, watch Spice Masters create handmade blends in-store and let their curiosity guide them.
Co-owners Kirstin Ruehlen and Sarah Chartier both share a passion for food, and chose The Spice & Tea Exchange® concept over a year ago for their love of cooking, learning and sharing. “Sarah and I started sharing our invented recipes years ago and it was a natural fit that we would do this together someday,” stated Ruehlen.
Visitors have an abundance of products to choose from with more than 120 fresh spices, over 70 hand-mixed seasoning blends, 12 naturally-flavored sugars, 24 salts from around the world, and more than 30 exotic teas. The Spice & Tea Exchange® also offers recipes, gift boxes and accessories to compliment the spice and tea selections. “Our specialty highlight will be [our] in house custom blends. We are proud of those recipes and we make a majority of these blends in-house daily by hand from our own ingredients. We cannot wait to share the creativity," the two commented.
Ruehlen and Chartier didn’t just choose the Fort Collins location, but fought for it, due to their deeply connected roots to the city. “We really want a local feel,” said Ruehlen. “We want repeat customers and relationships with local restaurants, businesses and residents that share the common love of cooking, entertaining, food and drink." Now, the two friends are anticipating their opening and celebration with the community.
