myBlee Math for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch Achieves Success in Schools
Teachers rave about myBlee Math after using the App with their students.
San Francisco, CA, September 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- myBlee, a leader in interactive learning, announced today that teachers participating in pilot programs in the United States, Canada, France, and Spain overwhelmingly endorsed the use of myBlee Math in their classrooms.
Designed by teachers, myBlee Math offers thousands of step-by-step and in-depth lessons and exercises on K-6 math topics in English, Spanish, and French.
In April, myBlee released myBlee Math on the Apple App Store as a first-of-its-kind tool that allows children to learn, practice, and review elementary school mathematics at their own pace, from their iPad. Tutors and parents can remotely follow and drive children’s progress with the same app login from their iPhone or iPod touch.
Prior to its public release this fall, myBlee selected six American schools, one Canadian school, four French schools and two Spanish schools to participate in a free trial of the app during the 2013/2014 school year.
The app was tested on 4,000 school iPads in Berkeley, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Sunnyvale, CA and Hershey, PA and in schools in Montreal, Paris, and Barcelona. Forward-thinking teachers in these schools agreed to use the app as a supplemental tool to reinforce their core math curriculum and provide precious feedback on how the app functions as an adaptive classroom-learning program.
“The entire year’s math program is available in a single application. No need to download a multitude of units or different applications,” explains Veronique Merckling, Middle-School Math Teacher and Math Coordinator at ISTP Elementary School in Palo Alto, CA. “myBlee Math allows teachers to offer a variety of activities on the same topic. A good example of this is the lessons on money. These lessons simulate real-life and require a lot of manipulation. Preparing activity sheets can be long and tedious. The lessons in myBlee Math are already prepared and allow students to engage quickly in diverse learning situations.”
“If you are looking for an engaging math app aligned to the Common Core State Standards myBlee Math is a must-have! It allows students to work at their own pace through suggested activities or focus on skills picked out by their teacher. myBlee Math is a great choice for schools with access to iPads or for parents looking to support the work their children are learning inside their classrooms,” says Monica Burns, former Teacher, Apple Distinguished Educator, Education Consultant & EdTech Blogger, ClassTechTips, New York City.
“I found the app to be great for my second graders. The kids love it. The short lessons are very well done. All my students created profiles and used the exercises. There are lessons simple enough for remediation and others that are challenging enough for students stronger in math. All the concepts we cover in second grade are included: counting, operations and algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, problem solving...,” says Elizabeth Sisters, 2nd Grade Teacher at FAIS in San Francisco, CA.
“I highly recommend this app! As both a teacher and parent, myBlee is very useful at helping kids understand and learn difficult math concepts,” declares Ludovic Tourné, 4th and 5th Grade Math Teacher at Saint Fabien School in Montreal, Canada.
“As a former math teacher, I am thrilled by all the positive feedback our app is receiving from teachers and the education community. I am proud to say that myBlee Math is where kids, parents and teachers turn for real learning,” says Laetitia Grail, Founder and CEO of myBlee.
