New York, NY, September 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- ENERActive Solutions’ work on Manhattan’s iconic Chrysler Building was featured in an article on Honest Buildings’ website as part of the HB Spotlight Series. The article, published on July 29, 2014, highlighted the extensive retro-commissioning process and challenges that came along with the project. The purpose of this project was to implement energy efficiency and sustainability measures to the facility without disturbing the building’s original and iconic aesthetic and infrastructure.
Eneractive Solutions was commissioned to perform a comprehensive ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit and Retro-Commissioning on the Chrysler Building located in New York City. The project was executed in accordance with Local Law 87 (LL87) Energy Audit Requirements instituted as part of New York’s Greener, Greater Buildings Plan (GGBP). Local Law 87 mandates that buildings over 50,000 square feet undergo energy audit and retro-commissioning measures every 10 years in order to ensure efficient operation and performance. The scope of work for the Chrysler Building Project included the development of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) which, once implemented, would promote large-scale energy efficiency and cost savings over time. Upon completion of the project, the building was awarded LEED Gold-EBOM certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
