GTC Law Group LLP Announces Addition of New Counsel

Westwood, MA, September 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- GTC Law Group, one of the nation’s premier IP and M&A boutique law firms, announced today that Marcel Valenta has joined the firm as counsel in its corporate transactions group. Valenta comes to GTC after years of practice at Am Law 100 law firms in Chicago, Silicon Valley and Phoenix and at one of the largest technology companies in the country headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

Valenta, a native German, has represented a wide range of companies in their corporate transactional needs, including privately-held German Mittelstandsunternehmen, multi-national conglomerates and leading technology companies, such as Google, Autodesk, Electronic Arts and Hewlett Packard, in mergers and acquisitions. He has worked with start-ups from inception to sale and represented private and institutional investors, including some of Silicon Valley’s preeminent venture capital firms, in their financing transactions.

Valenta received his J.D. and LL.M. at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago. He studied law in Germany and Italy and completed his Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen (J.D. equivalent) in Germany. Valenta is licensed to practice law in Illinois, California and Arizona and serves as General Counsel to the Arizona State University Foundation for A New American University.
