First Time Producer Jean Elie Short Film MIA Receives a Standing Ovation
Los Angeles, CA, September 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- When the smoke cleared and the dust settled, first time producer Jean Elie’s film MIA stood up amongst amazing contenders for the best dramatic short film award and received a standing ovation. Although he didn’t receive the award for best dramatic short film, the crowd was exceptionally pleased with his producing ability and his earnest depiction of an on the edge solider suffering from PTSD. Jean Elie did not only accomplish his goal to tell a story about losing someone, the family members that got left behind, and the ones that disappear days later but inspired other filmmakers and soon to be filmmakers to tell stories that come from a place of truth and honesty.
Now, as Jean Elie patiently waits for acceptance into other film festivals, he is in development of a new series Think like Jerome, Act Like Tom. A comedy series about the dissimilarity of our thoughts vs. what we say in our everyday lives. Seen through the eyes of white-collar African American male Smith.
