Fall Job Fair September 18 in Shipshewana, Indiana
Lagrange, IN, September 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Linking Michiana is hosting their second big hiring event this year. Employers from northern Indiana and Southern Michigan will be representing full time, part time and seasonal positions – administrative, customer service, entry level, home health care, production, skilled trades, technicians, and more.
Job seekers are encouraged to attend Linking Michiana’s Fall Job Fair Thursday, September 18, at the Blue Gate Garden Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana to explore employment opportunities available in Angola, Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Howe, Kendallville, LaGrange, Middlebury, Orland, and Shipshewana in Indiana; and Sturgis, Michigan. Employers will be available from 2 pm to 5:30 pm to meet applicants and review resumes.
The greatest advantage for job seekers when attending a job fair is meeting human resource representatives face-to-face; because in today’s world, most hiring processes begin with online applications. The ultimate goal for job seekers is to gain employment. To make a good first impression it is important to dress appropriately for a job interview, bring several copies of their resume, a pen, and a note pad to take notes. When meeting employers, ask for their business cards to make it easier to follow up with what was discussed and don’t forget to follow through on any additional instructions, such as completing an online application.
Since 2011, Linking Michiana has been bringing employers and job seekers together through social media, job fairs, and one-on-one assistance, “Linking job seekers to opportunities in Michiana.” For more information contact Maria Miller at LinkingMichiana@gmail.com.
