Parking Should Not be a Hassle. Meet Parking 2.0

Dallas, TX, October 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Finding parking is becoming an increasingly frustrating experience as roads become more congested with vehicles and the resulting traffic. One company believes it has the perfect solution with its parking location and marketplace application, PSpotz. While the name sounds funny, the product is all business as a next generation tool drivers can use wherever they are.

The company behind the idea, Dallas based Parking Logistics Inc., has created a web based platform for finding and reserving parking spaces across the United States and Canada, using any Internet personal computer, mobile device, or vehicle navigation system. According to company founder and CEO, Shawn Scott, Parking Logistics has created the world’s largest and most in depth repository of information about parking locations in North America. “We have worked diligently over the last 6 months to build a master database of well over 1 million parking spaces across the country including hours of operation, pricing, and customer reviews” says Scott.

“With the rising cost of gas, consumers are looking for any way to cut back on expenses related to operating their vehicles. Having a reserved parking spot waiting on their arrival can often save a driver up to an hour in their journey by eliminating the need to manually search for parking.” The effects of streamlining parking not only decrease fuel consumption, but also can be attributed to decreasing traffic congestion as well as harmful vehicle emissions.

Currently the site is in private beta while developers and new features for the impending launch. Among these features is a reservation system which will allow drivers to pay for parking spaces ahead of time and be guaranteed space upon arrival. Developers are also working on a platform that will allow information on parking locations to be embedded into other websites and application. An invitation based public beta program is scheduled to be launched in November 2007 to allow the public to provide valuable feedback into the development of the application.
