"Make a Difference" by Supporting the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas

The Woodlands, TX, September 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Amazing Spaces® Storage Centers asks Houston, Spring, and The Woodlands communities to join together and show how easily an individual can “Make a Difference” in a child’s life. The Texas Self Storage Association launched the “Starfish: Make a Difference” state-wide campaign to emphasize the contributions made by self storage owners in their communities and to highlight the partnership with Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston. Amazing Spaces Storage Centers and the Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) have supported the work of the Shriners Children’s Hospital for the past eight years. Donations to the hospital from the Starfish Campaign have surpassed the $500,000 mark.

Shriners Hospitals for Children® is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.

Last year, Amazing Spaces raised over $1400 for this worthy cause. In order to help everyone make a difference, Amazing Spaces will match each donation, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per each store location. By donating through Amazing Spaces, members of the Houston, Spring, and The Woodlands communities can double their impact. This year marks the 7th anniversary that Amazing Spaces has participated in the Starfish Campaign. “We are really trying very hard to raise more money for the hospital, it is a wonderful charity to support,” said Kathy Tautenhahn, Vice President. Amazing Spaces will be accepting donations from September 1st through October 31st, 2014. Each dollar earned will be matched by the company and all proceeds go directly to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston.
