Roman Jewelers Finalist for NJ Family Business of the Year Award

Flemington, NJ, October 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Roman Jewelers of Flemington and Bridgewater Commons Mall was one of three finalists in the under $10 million category for the recent 15th Annual New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award. The ceremony to present the award was held on October 2, 2007 at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, NJ.

Roman Jewelers received a plaque during the ceremony, as well as a personal letter of congratulation from New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine.

The New Jersey Family Business of the Year Award acknowledges the importance of family-owned companies in the economy and in society. It was established to recognize multi-generational family businesses with practices and policies that result in a positive impact on business and the community.

The organizations sponsoring this annual award are: The Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies at Farleigh Dickenson University, PriceWaterhouseCoopers; PNC Bank; New Jersey Monthly Magazine; Public Service Electric and Gas Company; Camares Communications, and the firm of Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland and Perretti.

Emcee of the event was Elizabeth Christopherson, Executive Director of New Jersey Network (NJN) Public Television and Radio, and President of the NJN Foundation for Public Broadcasting, Inc.

Opening remarks for the ceremony were made by Nina Mosely, Director of Business Services for the New Jersey Commerce Commission.
