Classic Holidays’ Mark Stephenson Appointed to ATHOC Hall of Fame
Orlando, FL, September 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Classic Holidays’ Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Stephenson, has been appointed to the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) Hall of Fame at the industry body’s 2014 annual conference in Fiji.
The honour comes after a career spanning almost 30 years in the timeshare industry for Mr Stephenson, commencing as a marketing executive in London in 1986, and now a director of Beneficium (Int) Pty Ltd the parent company of industry leaders Classic Holidays and DAE (Dial An Exchange).
Mr Stephenson was recognised for his involvement in the development of the timeshare industry around the world, and for his pivotal role in the growth and innovation of the Australian industry over the past 25 years.
Throughout his extensive career in the timeshare industry, Mr Stephenson has taken on numerous challenges from consulting to new and emerging markets, to holding positions as Managing Director of leading timeshare companies.
Under his leadership at Classic Holidays, he has developed many new innovative solutions such as timeshare sales strategies of weeks with in-house teams, and a points system from 2004.
In 2008 he further revolutionised timeshare sales by appointing a network of Authorised Licensees to distribute the product through independently owned businesses.
Ramy Filo, CEO of Classic Holidays and Vice President of ATHOC said there was no one more deserving of ATHOC’s highest honour.
“As a President of ATHOC in its early days, Mark provided strong leadership for the organisation, always thinking about what was best for the industry as a whole, not the commercial interests of one company over another. He helped build the truly representative timeshare association it is today.
“His leadership has since been recognised in many other areas across the industry. He is passionate about our industry, about delivering a great value product and unbeatable customer service, and is deeply respected by all who work, or have worked with him.
“Congratulations to Mark on behalf of our Classic Holidays family, ATHOC, and the entire timeshare industry on this spectacular achievement."
