Two Moore & Van Allen PLLC Charlotte attorneys have been appointed to serve in leadership roles on local philanthropic boards: Member Karin McGinnis was elected the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) Board of Directors Chair, and Charlotte Associate Cabell Clay was named to the Council for Children’s Rights (CFCR) Board of Directors.
Charlotte, NC, September 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce that two of its Charlotte attorneys, Karin McGinnis and Cabell Clay, have been appointed to serve in leadership roles on local philanthropic boards.
Charlotte Member Karin McGinnis was elected the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) Board of Directors Chair. McGinnis has served on the organization’s Board of Directors since 2004. SHFBM provides a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to nearly 650 charitable partner agencies. The organization also provides these agencies with training, consultation, technical assistance, and hunger education. McGinnis practices on the Firm’s Employment & Labor team, and also serves as a founding leader of the Firm’s Privacy & Data Security team.
Charlotte Associate Cabell Clay was named to the Council for Children’s Rights (CFCR) Board of Directors. CFCR is the largest and most comprehensive legal advocacy program for children in the Southeast. The organization is comprised of a team of advocates, attorneys and social workers who provide legal representation, advocacy, systems reform, public policy, and research and planning for the most at-risk populations in Mecklenburg County. Clay practices on the Firm’s Litigation team.
