Caifornia's First BioFuels Refinery Announced
Global Fuels AltE, LLC announced plans to build the state's first integrated biofuels facility near Mojave, Ca.
Los Angeles, CA, October 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Global Fuels AltE, LLC, A development stage bio-fuels producer announced plans to build state’s first Integrated Bio-Refinery.
The site is on 474 acres located near Mojave, Kern County, Ca. “The proposed Destination Site holds great potential for the state with the highest demand for biofuels” said Gary Chatman, Managing Partner of Global Fuels AltE, LLC.
The state-of the-art facility expects to initially house a 55 MGPY grain fed ethanol module expanding to a 220 MGPY Multi-feedstock platform. Green technologies intend to be employed, specifically focused on energy usage; feed stocks and reducing the carbon foot print.
Plans for the Mega Project has been in the works for 2 years and with $100.00 oil a “When” situation, new feedstock technologies and improved operating efficiencies, the timing is right. “We can make a positive difference,” said Tom Byrne, project manager.
This aggressive project is being positioned as a “win-win” opportunity for the area and the state. At full operations, the project may bring as many as 200 additional jobs to the area as well as additional tax revenues.
The company has partnered with world-class industry leaders, Cargill Corporation and Delta T Corporation to develop the project. The company anticipates completing the 1st round funding in the 1st quarter of 2008 with plans to be online by 4th quarter of 2009.
