Mountain West Precast Receives Utah Woman Owned Business of the Year 2014
Mountain West Precast awarded prestigious statewide award for their precast concrete, redi-mix, and contracting business.
Brigham City, UT, September 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mountain West Precast was named Utah SBA’s Woman Owned Business of the Year, http://www.mwprecast.com. The ability to thrive and excel in the precast, ready-mix concrete and construction industries during difficult economic times has lead to this recent recognition. Congressman Jim Matheson presented the award and the nomination came from Zion’s Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah. “This award is a nice surprise. It’s wonderful to be recognized for the hard work you do every day,” says Stephanie Loud, President Mountain West Precast. “We work in a grueling, dirty environment and its good to know someone appreciates your efforts and expertise.”
Mountain West has a precast concrete division, a redi-mix U-Carry concrete trailer rental operation, and a commercial construction division D.B.A. Mountain West Construction Group executing historical and industrial projects. The precast division specializes in retaining walls, precast modular pavement, jersey barriers and concrete fencing. They were early adopters of Superslab precast paving systems and Redi-Rock gravity retaining walls. Both products are made offsite in a plant environment then rapidly installed on site causing significantly less inconvenience to the public. Mountain West manufactures concrete bridge components and decking for DOT and Forest Service use. The construction division has operated in multiple western states. Their larger customers include the US Army Corps of Engineers, Utah Department of Transportation, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the US Air Force and the National Park Service. 2014 marks Mountain West Precast’s 13th construction season since it began operations in 2002. “We are licensed contractors for both state and local construction and can install all of our precast products,” says Loud. “Quality, safety and innovation are our brightest attributes.”
