Polaris Among Sponsors for Mercy Health Golf Cancer Fundraiser
Polaris was thrilled to attend this year's Mercy Golf Classic in support of the health system's cancer treatment programs.
Wayne, PA, September 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Staff from Polaris Health Directions attended this year’s Mercy Golf Classic, an annual fundraiser for the cancer care programs at Mercy Fitzgerald and Mercy Philadelphia Hospitals. The event took place on Monday at the Aronimink Golf Club, in Newtown Square, Pa.
Polaris sponsored a hole to show the company’s commitment to helping Mercy Health continue to deliver the outstanding care for which it is known.
“Polaris was thrilled to support the Golf Classic,” said Pete Pijawka, senior vice president of business development. “As we work together to launch Mercy’s new cancer distress management program, we will continue to seek out opportunities to collaborate and support the great work they do.”
Earlier this summer, Polaris and Mercy began implementation of the Polaris Oncology Distress Management System at four Mercy Health System affiliated hospitals in the Philadelphia area. The cloud-based, Web-accessed system takes a proactive approach to identifying and managing psychosocial distress by directly connecting patients to the services they need.
