Roig Lawyers Announces New Associate Attorney, Melanie Ann Parris, to Their Expanding Litigation Practice Group

Coral Gables, FL, September 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across seven offices throughout Florida, is pleased to announce the addition of Melanie Ann Parris to the firm’s Coral Gables office. Melanie joins the firm’s expanding Litigation practice group.

Melanie concentrates her practice in first-party property insurance defense. Melanie also brings experience representing financial institutions in consumer debt litigation in each of the 67 counties in Florida.

Prior to joining Roig Lawyers, she worked with a Florida law firm representing a Florida government entity in homeowner’s insurance claim disputes where she handled pretrial motions and provided strategic analysis of litigation needs to clients.

While at Emory University School of Law, Melanie was a Dean’s Honor Scholarship Recipient and a Black Law Students Association (BLSA) 2L mentor. Furthermore, she was a member of the Emory Public Interest Committee (EPIC), and served as Secretary to Emory’s Health Law Society.

Melanie is a graduate of the University of Miami (B.B.A., 2007) and Emory University School of Law (J.D., 2010).
