Spoiled Rotten Baby’s Website Launches Its New Feature ‘The Baby Diaries’
The online luxury baby and Mom gift boutique offers an exciting new way to share the trials and triumphs of parenthood.
Bellevue, WA, November 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Spoiled Rotten Baby, an online luxury baby and new Mom gift company has added a new feature to its website. The feature, called ‘The Baby Diaries,’ is a compilation of stories or ‘diaries’ submitted by men and women with the purpose of sharing their early pregnancy and postpartum experiences with others. “Sometimes it’s nice just to know that someone else has been where you are,” said owner Shelly Holbrook. “Some of the diary entries are short and funny, some are a bit longer and a little more serious, but all are important”
The diaries are not limited to those who have become parents in the traditional sense of the word, either. Shelly hopes the diaries will expand to include stories about adoption, surrogacy, and IVF. “Every new parent has a whole gamut of ups and downs whether they went through the physical changes of pregnancy or not. Becoming responsible for this fragile little human is both exhilarating and terrifying no matter how it comes about.”
Submissions are all e-mailed directly to Shelly who then decides whether or not they are appropriate for the feature. Although erring on the side of more light-hearted stories, she warns that the entries are not all sugar-coated:
“As a childbirth educator it was important for me to tell couples in my classes the truth on what to expect. I would say things like, ’Labor is hard work, but worth it.’ or ‘Parenting is scary and can be overwhelming, but so are most things tried for the first time.’ With the variety of entries on our website (both funny and serious) I encourage our readers to do what I used to tell couples in my classes to do – take what you want from it, and leave the rest behind.”
The Baby Diaries can be found in the features section of Spoiled Rotten Baby’s website at www.myspoiledrottenbaby.com. You can also e-mail Shelly Holbrook directly at shelly@mysrbb.com to request your own diary be included on the site.
