Heal Team 6 Hosts Dallas Stetsons, Stilettos, and Sportscars Evening

Lake Forest, IL, September 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Association of Horizon, Inc. has been chosen by Heal Team 6 to be the sole beneficiary of its upcoming charity event “DALLAS” Stetsons, Stilettos, & Sportcars that will take place on November 8, 2014 at Lake Forest Sportscars from 6:00-11:30pm. Dallas will be an exciting night of live music, live and silent auctions, casino games, open bar, and food provided by six of the North Shore’s finest restaurants. Just imagine spending your Saturday night in one of the most luxurious Ferrari dealerships in all of Illinois, Lake Forest Sportcars. Eat, drink, and dance among Ferraris, Aston Martins, and Maseratis. Enjoy the music of a nine piece band while playing blackjack or craps in the casino. It will be a night to remember. The best part of it all is that 100% of the proceeds raised that night will go directly to Horizon.

For twenty-three years Horizon has provided a weeklong summer camp for adults with physical disabilities. In 2014, Horizon provided camp for over one hundred campers and their one-on-one volunteer assistants. Horizon recruits student volunteers to be personal aides for their campers. Many volunteers first find Horizon to help them fulfill their service hour needs, but many return because of the bonds that they form with their camper. Horizon is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Camp is provided free of charge to all participants, as Horizon works year round raising funds through private donations and grants. Providing a weeklong overnight camp, including lodging, meals, insurance, and entertainment, costs over eighty thousand dollars.
