Las Vegas Gourmet Charity Tasting Dinner Raises Donations for a Cause

Las Vegas, NV, September 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- For the second year, B With a Twist Catering & Events is hosting its “Taste of the Holidays” showcase in partnership with the Las Vegas Rotary to raise much-needed holiday food donations for the Salvation Army. B with a Twist, a Las Vegas-based company, raised enough money to purchase 25,000 cans of food for the charity at its inaugural event last year.

“We love our community, and wanted to create a way to give back that was true to our resources and skills,” said Chef Brittney Melnick, co-owner of B with a Twist. “This gives us the opportunity to share our passions and help a great organization at the same time.”

The “Taste of the Holidays” dinner will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 16 at 9272 Tamarus Street, Suite 138. Tickets can be purchased for $25 each at www.bwithatwist.com. All money raised at the dinner will be donated directly to the Salvation Army canned food drive.

Melnick has been excitedly planning this year’s “Taste of the Holidays” menu. The professional foodie has picked up new recipes and tips from some of the country’s top professionals. “One of this season’s hottest items is chicken crackers, which we are serving at the event,” she said. “It sounds weird—chicken skins topped with buffalo-flavored carrots and ranch crème fraiche—but is really delicious!”

Guests at “Taste of the Holidays” will be treated to some of the catering company’s top menu items including:

· Savory Goat Cheesecake with balsamic onions
· Rock shrimp and tuna Maki freeform Sushi
· Bacon-wrapped dates
· Crostini bar
· Sugar and spice shrimp
· Apple butter barbeque meatballs
· Carved beef tenderloin with chipotle raspberry sauce and creamy horseradish
· Carved slow roasted turkey breast
· Desserts including French macaroons and chocolate peppermint mousse

“The best thing about this event is that 100 percent of the cost to guests will be donated directly to the Salvation Army canned food drive,” said Melnick. “And you get a fabulous meal to enjoy with friends and family before the start of the holiday season.”

Following last year’s event, B with a Twist raised money to purchase 25,000 cans of food for the Las Vegas Salvation Army operation. “We have a fabulous evening planned and hope to exceed 25,000 cans this year,” said Melnick. “Hunger is still a big concern for the people of Las Vegas. We hope this fundraiser will help ease the burden this holiday season.”

B With A Twist Catering & Events has been in operation since 2009 and operates a new expanded location with a private events space at 9272 Tamarus Street, Suite 138, in Las Vegas.
