Big Island Hosts the Largest Paddle Race Competition Set on Sept. 27 – Luxurybigisland.com

Kamuela, HI, September 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Fitness, friendship, and good old island fun converge as Mauna Lani hosts the 4th Annual Hulakai and Da Hui Race to Fitness, the largest paddle race on the Big Island this September 27, according to Harold Clarke,a known luxury real estate expert and the founder of LuxuryBigIsland.com.

Open to standup, outrigger canoe 1 and 2, ocean ski, surf ski, prone board, and racing board paddlers of all ages and skill levels, the race features a short 4-mile course and a 7-mile course, as well as a pro course.

The 7-mile course begins at Kiholo Bay and finishes at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. For the Elite division, it will be a downwind course from Anaeho'omalu Bay to Hapuna Beach. Cash prizes await the top three finishers, especially in the Elite division, where a $4,000 cash prize will be at stake.

Afterwards, a concert highlighted by Makua Rothman and other local talents will be held to entertain the participants and their loved ones.

Racers may also avail of special room rate at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotels and Bungalows, or the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, both ardent supporters of the event.

Aside from the race, which begins at 8am and ends at 4pm, visitors can also take the opportunity to visit nearby tourist destinations in the Mauna Lani area:
