Love Supine Releases First New Material in 10 Years
After a decade-long hiatus, indie alternative band Love Supine is releasing a new EP online on Nov. 1. Part of the three-set "Vibe Series," the first installment includes three new songs.
Phoenix, AZ, September 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- "It had been such a long time that I had so many songs with multiple directions along the way," said Kak, Love Supine's leader. "I had to somehow group them for the sake of my own sanity."
The Vibe Series is being delivered throughout an unscheduled period, with each set grouped together in a feel-oriented fashion. The first set, "Vibe: Black," is the darker and more eclectic batch of music. Following the "Vibe: Black" EP will be "Vibe: Red," and then "Vibe: Yellow."
The release of Vibe: Black bonus material will only be accessible via the band's Bandcamp website. That material includes cover material by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Megadeth and Warren Zevon.
"This project has been very good to me, in the sense that I had a lot of good friends, local and overseas, old and new, that helped me get this to the forefront," Kak said. "I've known Tom [The Pistoleros' Thomas Laufenberg, co-producer and engineer] since the days we were locker neighbors in high school. Then there's my serendipitous finding of my new friend, Laz [Laszlo Demeter, bass player for Byron, REEA and absurdcus], who did some fine bass work from his Romanian homeland. And no one can forget the lovely and talented Diana Lee [vocalist who has toured nationally and internationally with Sister Sledge, Reba McEntire, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, David Foster, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood], who just kills it on these songs."
