Pioneer Engineering Hires Matt Price as New Reliability Engineer
Matt will help lead the reliability engineering efforts for the engineering firm.
Fort Collins, CO, September 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Pioneer Engineering is proud to announce and welcome Matt Price as the firm’s new reliability engineer.
Mr. Price, originally from Julesburg, Colo., brings with him nearly six years of experience in mechanical and reliability engineering and vibration analysis in the oil and gas industry. In his previous role as a reliability engineer, he was instrumental in building a reliability program for a large multi-billion dollar refinery, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the refinery and implementing programs to help improve any deficiencies. Matt also spearheaded the implementation of the refinery’s reliability programs, including tracking the refinery’s Mean Time between Failure, assisted with the implementation of a new vibration program, a bad actor program, and a critical spare parts program. Mr. Price was also responsible for overseeing and supporting rebuilds of several large centrifugal and reciprocating compressor rebuilds.
“In an effort to continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients, we are constantly identifying opportunities for continued growth and progress. And having the right people in the right positions is key to achieving this goal,” Pioneer Engineering’s Director of Engineering Services, Chad Wilcox, said in announcing the hire. “I am pleased to have Matt Price as our reliability engineer. He has the talent and personality that fits our organization and we are excited about the passion and enthusiasm he has for reliability engineering.”
In his new role with Pioneer, Matt will be the firm’s subject matter expert on reliability engineering and maintenance practices and will be focused on continuing to develop and expand our reliability service offerings as well as providing clients personalized reliability solutions, facilitation and mentoring. In addition, he will also provide clients with vibration analysis and mechanical troubleshooting services.
Matt holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Wyoming and is an ISO Category III level vibration analyst. He and his wife, Elena, currently live in Salt Lake City, UT., and plan on moving to Colorado in early 2015.
