Preparing for 130+ Students at ITT Technical Institute to Discuss eIntern

eIntern was invited to speak to STEM/IT students by ITT Technical Institute in Chantilly, VA, where topics will include internships, life after graduation, and a review of what's trending in the technology industry. Over 130 students are expected to be in attendance in which eIntern will be looking to get some started in internships and preparing for a career in software development.

Fairfax, VA, September 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- eIntern continues its campus visit tour at the Chantilly, VA, campus of ITT Technical Institute. Working with Dana Antayhua, Director of Career Services, and faculty, some of whom attended an eIntern presentation over the summer, over 130 students will be present to hear about the eIntern platform.

With over half a million professional IT jobs projected to come to Northern Virginia (many for software developers) where the unemployment rate for IT professionals is equal to or less than one percent, it has become a huge focus for employers, schools and job seekers to prepare for the demand.

In reviewing the high level of demand and tracking industry trends, eIntern is reaching out to all area schools in search of future software developers. eIntern is pursuing a stronger partnership with ITT Technical Institute because of its focus on technology-oriented programs of study. Founded in 1969, ITT Technical Insititute currently has over 140 locations in 38 states with an enrollment of over 70,000 students.

eIntern particularly chose the Chantilly, VA, campus because of the strength of its School of Information Technology and the quality of the students hired from the campus.

Employers have been frank in expressing frustration in identifying job seekers with the full complement of skills needed for projects. eIntern’s goal is to complement their current college coursework with job-ready Java/J2EE, Microsoft.NET and HTML5 skills and related technologies.

The presentation will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2014 at 11420 Albemarle Point Place.

eIntern is expected to make several offers of employment for ITT Technical Institute students who perform well on projects and show an aptitude to succeed in computer programming. Those who accept an offer for employment are expected to help fill the void in Northern Virginia’s IT professional supply.
