Metal Technology, Inc. & nuFaktory, LLC Expand Additive Manufacturing Opportunities Through Partnership
Metal Technology, Inc., an industry leader in metal & exotic metals fabrication and additive manufacturing and nuFaktory, LLC, the first Application Service Provider in 3D Printing and related technologies, announce a unique partnership within the industry.
Springfield, MA, September 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Metal Technology, Inc. (MTI) and nuFaktory LLC have jointly announced the formation of a strategic partnership in response to rapidly expanding opportunities for additively manufactured metal components across multiple industries.
The partnership combines MTI’s expertise in precision manufacturing of fabricated metal components with nuFaktory’s dynamic and seasoned, digital manufacturing team focused on advanced manufacturing methods and technologies. They are doing their part to help revitalize the U.S. manufacturing base by helping companies become more effective and competitive in the global market place. “I and my colleagues are very excited over our partnership with MTI,” said Rudy N. Vogel, Co-Founder and Managing Principal of nuFaktory.
“Our relationship with MTI, one of the finest companies in metal and exotic metals fabrication in the U.S. opens new vistas of opportunities for us as a company and for our other commercial partners and clients through MTI’S precision and expertise in working with various metals.”
MTI has been deep-drawing, forging, forming and fabricating reactive and refractory alloys since 1971. In January 2014 MTI expanded its capabilities to include additive manufacturing as part of a fully comprehensive solution-set for its customers.
Additionally, MTI is developing hybrid manufacturing by strategically combining additive manufacturing and traditional manufacturing techniques. When creating components through this approach MTI can capture the benefits of additive manufacturing for complex geometry while providing seamless transitions to less complex portions of a component. “We are excited to work with the team at nuFaktory and share a common vision of bringing manufacturing back to US soil done by American craftsman. Our partnership provides all the strategic and technical components to make that happen more efficiently,” said Gary Cosmer, Chief Executive Officer of MTI.
nuFaktory leverages a wealth of cross-industry experience and relationships enabling digital and additive manufacturing solutions that integrate the power of digital design and advanced manufacturing methods and technologies. Furthermore, nuFaktory provides computational design, digital modeling and 3D printing solutions of many materials through its extensive network of solution providers.
The experts at nuFaktory also help assess product development and manufacturing requirements and then rapidly devise a roadmap for implementing a cost effective solution. nuFaktory’s core staff includes tenured experts in digital manufacturing and business development who are driven proponents of revitalizing U.S. manufacturing.
