Semnos Group International Powers the First Annual Instagram Photo Contest

New York, NY, September 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Annual Instagram Photos Awards Contest is underway for the first year, which will give people the opportunity to upload their best photos on Instagram for the competition. Users can upload the photo of their choice, with categories being in #friends, #food, #gadgets, #captioned, #pets, #activities, #selfies, and #fashion. The categories were carefully selected, as research from computer science students Yuheng Hu, Lydia Manikonda and Subbarao Kambhampati at Arizona State University showed that these eight categories are the most popular among Instagram users.

There will be three overall winners in the contest. The first place winner will win an iPhone 6 Plus, second place will win a personalized 16GB iPad mini with Retina display, and the third place winner will receive an Apple Watch (subject to availability from Apple) or a Moto360 smart-watch (subject to availability from Motorola), as per their choice. Additionally, there will be seven category winners, each of whom will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

The contest will end on December 25 2014 and winners will be announced on January 5 2015.

Any instagram user can participate in the competition if they have a public profile. Minimum age is 13.

Step 1: User registers and pays the registration fee on instaphotoawards.com

Step 2: User posts the number of photos he or she registered and paid for on his/her instagram account, using the competition tag #instaphotoawards followed by the category tag (any of #friends, #food, #gadgets, #captioned, #pets, #activities, #selfie, and #fashion)

Step 3: The submitted photos will be shown on the website gallery, under their respective category and all of the likes and comments will be imported from instagram.

The purpose of the competition is to celebrate the instagram users worldwide and the beautiful photos they post daily. This is an exclusive awards competition aimed at instagram users, no matter which device they use.
