Kalkitech Signs MoU with UNITEN, Malaysia
Kalkitech, a niche technology company providing communication and optimization solutions for the Smart Grid, signed MoU with Universiti Tenega Nasional (UNITEN), a wholly owned university of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia
Bangalore, India, October 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Kalki Communication Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Kalkitech), a niche technology company providing communication and optimization solutions for the Smart Grid, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Tenega Nasional (UNITEN), a wholly owned university of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia. The objective of the MoU is to develop and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between the two organizations, covering areas of cooperation in research, development, product realization and commercialization through joint research & development, product funding, technological transfer, seminars and joint commercialization activities. Under the MoU, UNITEN will be carrying out feasibility studies on deployment of Kalkitech’s technology, conducting experiments and tests on Kalkitech technologies. Kalkitech would be training, sharing technical information and providing support to UNITEN staff and students.

Speaking after signing the MoU, Prasanth Gopalakrishnan, CEO, Kalkitech said: “This MoU marks the beginning of a promising partnership between Kalkitech, UNITEN and TNB in Malaysia. Malaysia is leading in smart grid investment in the region and we intend to stay invested with UNITEN and TNB for developing the Smart Grid for the region. Our association with UNITEN will help TNB and Kalkitech better understand smart grid technologies and their localization for the region. We are confident that this MoU will steer our association with UNITEN into a long term, cooperative relationship in research and development of the smart grid.
