7 Southeast Goes Eco-Friendly at South Beach Hospitality Design Show
Florida Company Launches Elegant Line of Sustainable Furniture in Miami Beach
Gainesville, FL, November 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- 7 Southeast, a Florida based furniture company, introduced its fall line at HD Boutique in the Miami Beach Convention Center on September 18-19. Every piece in this stunning collection is made from select hardwoods that come from reclaimed sources or managed forests.
According to Nancy Hyer, CEO and principle designer of the line, “This was a great venue for us. This show draws the best and most inventive of the hospitality design world, the very clients we have in mind when designing our furniture.”
Using only lumber from strictly regulated sources or reclaimed wood from abandoned houses and barns, 7 Southeast seamlessly integrates form, function and sustainable manufacturing practices into the designs. This commitment to environmentally sound practices coupled with sophisticated design demonstrates that furniture from eco- friendly sources doesn’t have to be rustic in appearance.
The “world feel” of the multi-national company is a result of the collaborative efforts of a Brazilian, a Belgian and an American. With combined experience of 85 years in the business, Gilmar Pavani, Rik Six and Nancy Hyer each bring their own individual strengths in manufacturing, operations and design.
Pavani applies his extensive knowledge of furniture production in Brazil, while Six draws upon his industry insight using his European sensibility. And Hyer’s passion for design and interiors as well as knowledge of the needs and demands of designers and retailers brings a practical approach to the mix.
The 7 Southeast collections consist of two distinct living styles. The clean angular details of the Town Collection enhance anchor pieces that are at home in any urban setting. Whether in a city loft or a suburban ranch house, these simple yet sophisticated pieces can stand out or play it down, depending on how they are integrated into a room.
The signature Tanglewood Cabinet boasts classical motifs with a twist. While the individual components of the design are rooted in traditional woodworking, the overall aesthetic is decidedly modern.
The Shore Line brings high style down to earth with the Captiva Collection. Warm, slightly weathered painted finishes and rich, earthy stain colors are reminiscent of cozy beach cottages and lazy summer days spent along the coast. Both collections include bedroom, living room and occasional pieces.
7 Southeast produces an elegant collection of sophisticated furniture which targets the design and hospitality market. The company headquarters is in Florida and can be contacted via the internet at info@7southeast.com or toll free, 866 751-7956.
