Career Step is honored to announce that is has been included on the 2015 Military Friendly Schools® list, which honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and career schools nationwide that are doing the most to ensure the success to America’s military service members, veterans and spouses.
Provo, UT, October 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is honored to announce that is has been included on the 2015 Military Friendly Schools® list published by Victory Media, a leader in providing education and career resources to connect the military and civilian worlds. The 2015 list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and career schools nationwide, recognizing those doing the most to proactively ensure the success to America’s military service members, veterans and spouses.
“This year marks our fifth year on the Military Friendly Schools® list, and we could not be more proud,” said Career Step Military Liaison Tim Reynolds. “The military community faces many unique challenges, and we firmly believe that the opportunity to take advantage of quality education and career resources should not be one of them. We are proud to serve those who have already sacrificed so much, and we will continue to do so by maintaining our Military Friendly® School status, participating in the Department of Defense's Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), and working with the MyCAA, GI Bill and military tuition assistance funding programs.”
Career Step has trained over 13,000 military service members and dependants. The school’s online programs are an excellent match for military students because they are focused in growing careers that offer opportunities nationwide and students have the flexibility to choose their study schedules. Programs in healthcare, technology and administration—such as pharmacy technician, health information technology, and medical administrative assisting—are available through an online, competency-based model that ensures students’ career preparation. Programs can be completed in as little as three months.
“Members of the military community make up a sizable percentage of our total student body,” said Jerolyn Robertson, Career Step Vice President of Academics. “Our online, mastery-based programs are a great fit for military students because they make it possible to go back to school despite frequent moves and the challenges associated with deployment. The portable training for careers with nationwide demand pairs well with our military-specific support resources to help these students get the training they need to start rewarding careers.”
The complete 2015 Military Friendly School® list can be found at www.militaryfriendlyschools.com. Now in its sixth year, the list is compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey overseen by independent advisory boards. The methodology developed by Victory Media identifies schools that have a variety of proactive programs and policies for student support, academic accreditation, credit policies, flexibility and other services specific to military students.
