Lucideon is Now Providing European Technical Assessments for External Wall Insulation Systems
Lucideon, the international provider of materials development, testing and assurance, and formerly known as Ceram, is now providing European Technical Assessments (ETAs) for External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems.
Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, October 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- ETAs allow construction products that lack a harmonised European standard (hEN) to obtain a CE mark, which in turn grants access to all EU markets.
The new service incorporates product development, testing to ETAG 004 requirements and Factory Production Control (FPC) certification*. Once all of these factors have been fulfilled, the information is processed through a Technical Assessment Body (TAB) and, if all the criteria are satisfied, an ETA is issued.
Steve Newman, Product Manager at Lucideon, commented:
“As a one-stop-shop with fast turnaround times, we are able to remove the hassle and cost of having to deal with numerous suppliers for product development and testing, FPC certification and ETA issuance, allowing manufacturers to get their products to market quickly.
“Additionally, our extensive materials and product knowledge enables us to identify and rectify problems during the development process before they become an issue.
“The new service further adds to our capabilities for the EWI industry, such as dynamic wind loading and park homes specification testing.”
