Glenn Ekblad is the Medical Director and Director of Preventative Medicine at Western Michigan AirCare, a hospital-based consortium air medical program. Western Michigan AirCare provides patient transfer and stabilization, specialty team transports and trauma patient transport. Dr. Ekblad received a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S.N. from the University of Utah, an M.S.N. in Psychiatric Nursing from Yale University and Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from Michigan State University. Dr. Ekblad specializes in Preventative Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Medical Education. He is a Colonel (Retired) in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Ekblad is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Preventative Medicine, the Association of Military Surgeons and the American College of Emergency Physicians. In his leisure time, Dr. Ekblad enjoys running, reading and camping.
