Toronto, Canada, October 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Octoberfest brings it a sense of excitement and celebration throughout the Waterloo region. Adding to the festivities is Communitech’s annual Techtoberfest event. Held October 16-17 this year, Techtoberfest is an opportunity for businesses and startups to meet and mingle while sampling some of the finest products – as well as German inspired munchies – in a two-day event focused on venture capitalism. To set the stage for this technology-based gala, Communitech has asked Mayhew, one of the leading Greater Toronto Area interior designers with an office in Kitchener-Waterloo for over 20 years, to supply furniture for two spaces.
The first space will be a 10,000 square foot hall with 50 drop-down areas. In the drop-down areas, individuals can meet and greet, trading information and ideas. Mayhew plans to fully furnish this space with the most modern and applicable work-related settings from its partner, Steelcase. The second space is a breakout area suitable for lounging and having relaxed conversations. Again, the lounge will be fitted with Steelcase furnishings in a unique yet natural arrangement, which is one of the hallmarks of Mayhew’s interior design techniques.
“Attendees come to Techtoberfest to be inspired,” says Marcia Mayhew, President. “That’s why we’re creating spaces that are wow-worthy, comfortable and motivating. We want every participant at Techtoberfest to leave feeling more stimulated and educated. Interior design can play a huge part in having that kind of an emotional, intellectual outcome.”
