Greensboro, NC, October 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dr. J. Scott Hinkle, director of professional development at the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), will be one of two keynote speakers at the National Organization for Human Services (NOHS) national conference, October 22–25, 2014, in Las Vegas.

Hinkle’s co-speaker is Dr. Stephen Sharp, associate dean of the College of Social Sciences at the University of Phoenix. Their topic, “Transformational Human Service Work Through Global Engagement and Domestic Grassroots Advocacy Programs,” examines a number of global human services initiatives that provide assistance on a broad scale. These include initiatives led by the World Health Organization (WHO), Doctors Without Borders, the American Red Cross, Action Against Hunger, Peace Brigades International, the Peace Corps, the United Nations Children’s Fund, Mercy Corps, and NBCC and the human services program at the University of Phoenix.

Hinkle helped develop the Human Services-Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), a certification for human services practitioners from the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE). Both Sharp and Hinkle are HS-BCPs.
