AboutWeb Receives Five Year IT Support Contract from Social Security Administration and Announces First Task Order Award

Rockville, MD, October 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- AboutWeb, LLC announced the kick-off its first task order award this week. The task order was awarded by the Social Security Administration to AboutWeb for Information Technology Support Services (ITSS). AboutWeb is one of only three Small Business Blanket Purchase Order (BPA) recipients that were announced in late August. The contract provides work expected to span five years with an estimated value of $80 million for the term of the contract.

AboutWeb’s team is responsible for providing LAN, WAN, and desktop support for four hundred staff at SSA including a number of key executives. The company has initially hired four systems analysts who will begin work this week but anticipates many additional hires.
